My name is Rosa Crumley, and I’m the voice behind this blog, coming to you from the charming streets of Pittsburgh, PA. As a registered dietitian and someone who has always had a passion for food, my goal is to share chef-inspired recipes that are easy enough for home cooks, but flavorful enough to make you feel like you’ve just prepared a meal from a top restaurant.

Who I Am

A little about me — I grew up in a household where food brought everyone together. The kitchen was always full of life, with smells of simmering sauces, baking bread, and every kind of delicious dish you can imagine. My love for cooking started as a child, watching my mother and grandmother work their magic in the kitchen. They had a special way of making food not only taste good but also feel comforting. As I grew up, this passion for food turned into a career.

I decided to pursue my love of nutrition by becoming a registered dietitian. This background gave me a deep understanding of the importance of nourishing our bodies while enjoying every bite we take. Combining my love of food and my knowledge of nutrition, I have always been driven to help people create meals that are not only delicious but also balanced and wholesome.

I have always admired the elegance and creativity of professional chefs. But, as a home cook myself, I know how intimidating chef recipes can seem. That’s why I created Recipes From Chef — to show that you don’t need to be a trained chef to prepare amazing meals at home. I believe anyone can cook, and with a little guidance and the right recipes, you can bring restaurant-quality dishes to your own kitchen.
